Pengajar Muda adalah sarjana-sarjana terpilih yang direkrut, dilatih dan dikirimkan oleh Indonesia Mengajar untuk membersamai masyarakat sebagai guru di pelosok Indonesia selama 1 (satu) tahun.

Generasi muda terbaik merupakan keterwakilan dari kompetensi kelas dunia. Pada saat bersamaan Pengajar Muda (PM) akan belajar kepemimpinan selama penempatan agar mereka memiliki pemahaman yang utuh terhadap masyarakat akar rumput. Indonesia Mengajar percaya bahwa kualitas pendidikan di suatu daerah sangat terkait erat dengan bagaimana seluruh masyarakatnya turut andil dalam menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan yang baik. Oleh karena itu, kompetensi yang dimiliki oleh para Pengajar Muda akan membantu mendorong masyarakat agar semakin berdaya dalam menciptakan ekosistem pendidikan tersebut.

Di daerah penempatan, PM diharapkan dapat berkolaborasi dengan berbagai pihak, menjadi guru bagi anak-anak di daerah dengan cara mengajar yang kreatif, serta mengenal lebih dalam konteks akar rumput Indonesia melalui interaksi dengan masyarakat dari level desa hingga kabupaten. Persaudaraan yang terbentuk oleh Pengajar Muda di seluruh pelosok Indonesia akan semakin merajut tenun kebangsaan Indonesia.

Setelah mereka kembali dari daerah penempatan, para PM diharapkan dapat berkarir di bidangnya masing-masing. Bukankah Indonesia akan semakin sejahtera apabila kelak sejumlah tokoh kunci di berbagai bidang: BUMN, swasta, pemerintahan, lembaga penelitian, dan lainnya diisi oleh figur-figur yang peduli pendidikan? Mereka akan sangat memahami realitas masyarakat Indonesia, karena mereka adalah bagian yang tak terpisahkan dari masyarakat.

[BEING PENGAJAR MUDA] Being a pengajar muda of Gerakan Indonesia Mengajar (Indonesia Teaching Movement), honestly it was a pray and dream come true after around 7 years of not giving up to my purpose, believe, and sincerity . It was last September 16th, 2021 since the first time I step my foot on one of the westest island within archipelago. In here in Nias Island, specifically i’m in Nias Barat, North Sumatra Province . And today i’m on last quarter being pengajar muda, turning month 10th as pengajar muda. how does it feels? After 9 month, i’m confidently feels It’s a combination of everyday gratefulness, fulfilment, happiness, and blessed at the same time . And everyday gratefulness that god given me this experience and show me everything that i need to be grateful for, this place, the people here, and everything he has created here . An everyday fulfilment to part something bigger than my self, to be part of an education access within this remote area (3T : Tertinggal, Terluar, dan Terpencil). Everyday with the children that never tired to show their excitement . An everyday happiness living with community and children here, nothing make me stressful when I’m with them even how much they just who they are as their nature as children who like to play a lot . In the end, I’m blessed to be here as Pengajar Muda in Nias Barat I’m blessed i can live my life purpose to contribute to others development I’m blessed i can live my value clarity, sincerity, contribution, and learning I’m blessed i can live my passion working for people development and education I’m blessed i can live to maximize my strength in individualization, connectedness, ideation, and arranger I’m blessed for god have shown me everything here in this small village called Siheneasi, in Nias Barat. 9 month has passed with every ups and down, with every success and failure, with every fulfilment and tears . Much meaningful stuff happen here within past 9 month, so less than 3 month to go for something more meaningful and matters

A Teaching Experience with ‘Indonesia Teaches’ Movement

Indonesia Mengajar is a non-profit organisation that recruits, trains and sends the nation’s talented young people to various regions of Indonesia to serve as Pengajar Muda (young teacher) in elementary schools and communities for a period of one year.

Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) was a part of the Department of Human Growth and Development. In its early establishment, the department consisted of three main academic units namely Paediatrics Unit, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit and Clinical Genetics Unit. On June 1, 2006, the department was split into two independent departments and renamed into Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Department of Paediatrics. To date, the department consists of two units, the Obstetrics and Gynacology Unit and the Clinical Genetics Unit. The Reproductive Health and Research Centre and the Medical Genetics Laboratory are placed under the purview of the department. The department performs clinical teaching for Year 4 and Year 5 clinical students enrolled in the medical doctor programme, which takes place at Kuala Lumpur Hospital, Serdang Hospital and Kajang Hospital.
